My approach to therapy is integrative. I draw from several different perspectives (mainly interpersonal/relational, cognitive-behavioral/mindfulness, and emotion-focused) and provide my clients with treatment that 1) alleviates symptoms, 2) gives insight into their problems, 3) offers practical and healthy coping skills, and 4) empowers clients to live authentically. At the core of my approach is a strong belief in the healing power of connection, and so I take extra time to ensure that my clients feel safe and supported. I carefully attend to my clients' needs and work hard to develop a trusting, authentic relationship. I collaborate with my clients to develop a treatment plan that works for them, and we explore their concerns from a variety of different angles. My ultimate goal is to help clients make sense of their concerns, and then use this insight to create lasting change.
